Corn husks are the outer layers of ears of corn. They are removed and dried to use later for making tamales.
what you need
Remove any dirt, debris, and corn silk they may have.
Thoroughly rinse under warm or hot water.
Fill the sink with enough hot water to make sure the husks have enough space to hydrated.
Leave to soak for at least 45 minutes, preferably 2 hours or until ready to use.
Once ready to use, drain the corn husks and remove as much of the excess water.
