This old fashioned eggnog recipe uses egg yolks and is not cooked. The results are a decadent creamy old fashioned eggnog like it used to be made generations ago.
Add the egg yolks and sugar to the blender and blend for a few minutes until well combined and the sugar has started dissolving.
Pour the blended eggs and sugar into a bowl, then add the heavy cream, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Whisk until well combined and the sugar has dissolved.
Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Leave to sit at least 30 minutes to allow ingredients to come together for a better taste.
Serve with ice cubes and rum if desired or without alcohol. Sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg over the glass before serving.
