This easy and authentic salsa taquera recipe is just as delicious as the taco salsa roja served at your local taco place.
Heat up a hot comal or pan and once hot roast the tomatoes, tomatillos, onion and garlic. Turn now and then until evenly charred.
Remove the garlic before it burns and the remaining veggies once they are blackened.
Toast the chile de arbol for one or two minutes without letting it burn.
Blend the roasted veggies and chiles until smooth. Then add salt and blend again.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the salsa for up to 8 minutes. Allow to cool to room temp then serve as desired.
