This authentic Mexican frijoles negros refritos or refried black beans, is a super easy vegan staple recipe. No more canned stuff!
Boil the beans or use canned beans, just drain and rinse the canned beans. Homemade, reserve some broth. Find the recipe on my blog.
Heat the oil and once hot sauté chile peppers for flavor. Add the onion and garlic and fry until soft --or use one boiled beans. Mash in the beans and cook to desired texture.
Serve with chips as a dip or as a side dish or filling to all your favorite Mexican recipes.
