Chicharron

made with tofu

 

Vegan chicharron is not only easy to make, but also super delicious!  Use it in tacos, quesadillas or even tamales!

Ingredients

firm tofu, liquid smoke, soy sauce, maggi seasoning, oil, nutritional yeast, corn startch, and salsa vervde

Steps

Marinade the tofu with all of the ingredients except the salsa verde

Allow to marinade for 20 minutes. Make the salsa verde while you wait

Steps

Saute tofu until crispy then add the salsa verde, season and simmer for 10 minutes

 

serve with rice and beans or as a filling to your favorite mexican dishes
