mexican sweet potatoes

 

camotes are cooked until soft in a spiced piloncillo syrup then served with milk of your choice

Ingredients

sweet potatoes, water, piloncillo, aromatic spices, salt, milk of choice for serving

Steps

place water, piloncillo, cinnamon, spices & salt into pot

Steps

add the sweet potatoes and cook for 10 minutes then natural release for 10 more before opening

Steps

remove spices and simmer liquid until it halves and thickens into a syrup

 

serve with spiced syrup and plant milk or evaporated milk
