How to Make Ginger and Turmeric Shots

This is exactly what you need to fight off a cold or flu, or to just give your body an immunity boost!

Serves: 7 shots
  • 60 grams or 2.11 oz peeled ginger root
  • 10 grams or .35 oz peeled turmeric root
  • one large lemon, juiced
  • 3 Tablespoons of raw honey (or good quality honey), adjust to taste
  • one to one and a half cups of filtered water
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely broken down. Strain any pulp if desired. Serve in a shot glass and take 2 times a day to fight off a cold, or 1 times a day for a general immunity boost. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
● If you find ginger very spicy, then you may want to either add less ginger or more water to help ease it down. This recipe is easily customised to your own taste, so play around with the amounts and tweak it until it's perfect for you

● As an afterthought my sister also mentioned that adding black pepper to the drink will help your body absorb the turmeric better. I began adding it to the last couple of shots and it's not bad tasting at all.
