¡Hola amigos! I hope you are all doing well.
Today I want to share with you our newest recipe video. This time we made a big pot of pinto beans. Legumes are a huge part of a meatless diet and also of Mexican cuisine, so it’s an essential recipe that everyone should master. It’s so super easy and it will save you loads of $ since you won’t be buying the yucky metal tasting tinned beans anymore. Plus did I mention how insanely delicious a pot of freshly cooked beans taste? Amazing!
In the video I made a big batch of 1 kilo or just over 2 lbs because if I’m going to make beans, I’m going to make sure there’s plenty for lots of meals — oh, and they freeze very well. You can use your favourite Mexican bean, like pinto or bayos or peruanos or flor de mayo, and they will all cook approximately in the same amount of time. You can also use black beans for this recipe but those will take a lot longer to cook — so be aware of that.
Lastly, I think it’s a good idea if you read through my previous article where I explain everything there is to know about making a pot of Mexican beans — if you have questions, they’ll surely be answered in that article. If not you can always leave a comment below with your question.
